Sound Design & Audio Post-Production for Award-Selected Short Film

Maidenhood is a naturalistic short film directed by Xochitl Enriquez, selected for the Sundance Film Festival. The film follows intimate, quiet moments — which meant the sound had to carry emotional weight without calling attention to itself.

The main challenge was building a sonic world that felt completely real across scenes in Spanish and an indigenous Mexican language, where dialogue clarity and cultural authenticity were equally important. Sound design, dialogue editing, foley, and final mix were all handled in-house, with every layer calibrated to serve the story rather than the spectacle.
